Waiting to Explode
I’m waiting to explode, to no longer speak in this code
To shine like a diamond or rust and corrode
I feel everything is just a flash not a light to drive home to
It’s a course that’s crashed
And is it that I’m not ready or as ready as I’ve ever
been?
I’ve been waiting and the wait has a way of sinking in
So confused by what you’ve missed and what is yet to be seen
I’m waiting to explode again
And the wait has a way of sinking in, till you take anything or
make something out of nothing cause nothing is all you have
Every lonely and desperate thought is exposed, waiting for your
life to explode
And you want to shine for someone, so you wait to explode
That phrase popped into my head. Waiting to explode.
Like we’ve done all the homework, now give us the real test,
no more practice
WE’VE DONE ALL THE HOMEWORK, NOW GIVE US THE REAL TEST
NO MORE PRACTICE
All the dreams are plastic and shrink wrapped
You are a commodity for sale in the market place
Old ideas on a new face
It’s an old devil dressed as a new saint
Disguised/revived with a new coat of paint
Still pulling it together. Always pulling it together.
This IT, it won’t stay together, keeps coming apart. I’m
waiting to explode
